My inspiron 620 was indicating an issue with the hard drive which indeed crashed later
I purchased a new hard drive, however I could not insrall Windows on it.
After several tries I run the diagnostic tool which is indicating the error code 2000-0151 incorrect status E3
As I doubt that the new hard drive is damaged too, would you please tell me what could be the issue (mother board...)?
What CPU upgrade options do I have for the machine listed below? It currently has the E5-1620v2 chip.

It is really disappointing that this monitor started having problems when it was less than 2 years old. Anyway, here is the issue. Monitor will turn off every time after approx 3-5 seconds. I tried connections, running the built in trouble shooting. I tried hooking it up to a PC, and also a PS3 and same thing happens. It is not under any warranty. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a feeling it just needs to be sent yo the recycler. Very sad for something to fail this quickly. Thanks

Hi guys, just got my new tower up and running. Would it be possible to install my old c drive into the extra bay and have/reinstall select programs as opposed to restoring the entire drive?
So, I've had a 5675 w/ Ryzen 1700x + 16GB RAM for about a month now. A few misc comments and questions... First, I really like this PC. Plenty fast for just about anything I throw at it, especially video encodes.
1. Will Dell ever release a decent BIOS? Something with actual settings, I'm not a hardcore overclocker, but I'd like to play with memory timings and such. The stock BIOS is pretty much devoid of options.
2. Is it possible to order the optional water cooling assembly? It was the only option I didn't pick, however I'm noticing quite a bit of noise and heat during those video encodes. The service manual makes removal of the stock heat sink and install of water cooler look pretty simple.

I'm getting inconsistent answers on the internet to a simple question, and I would value an understandable answer please.
I have an mid 2013 XPS8700 using a 256Gb SSD for the C drive, and a 2Tb HDD for the D drive. (Original equipment). It is using BIOS A11 and I am running Windows 10 Pro.
I wish to replace the Seagate 2Tb drive (which has worked very well) with a larger drive.
Some sources say that each SATA drive can be a maximum of 3Tb, but other users state they are using a 4 or 5 Tb drive with no issues.
So, can someone please give me a definate answer. If the answer is over 4Tb could someone explain why this works even though it is exceeding the Dell maximum size of 3Tb.
Is this because there is another aspect involved - like PSU issues?
Ideally I would like to go for a 6Tb but 4Tb would do, however I dont wish to cause issues later.
I probably would go for WD Black or Seagate BarraCuda Pro unless I get adverse feedback.
I would really appreciate sopme help. I am now out of capacity.

I noticed when I checked out the hardware there is no partition on the C drive that is set aside for a factory reset if/when Windows or something needs to be reset.
I have upgrade from Windows 7 professional to Windows 10 professional.
I have updated all the drivers etc, I have the system where I would want it if it needs to be reset.
What should I do to make a recovery option if/when it is needed.
I have also downloaded : dell-usb-recovery-tool_wjfv2_win_2.0.2.0_a00
I also have a 32GB USB 2.0 drive ready to go.

I there any way to get past the RAID Controller BIOS if you get the error "Number of devices exceeded the maximum limit of devices per quad" error? I can't seem to get into the BIOS setup menu or boot into my windows drive that isn't part of the RAID.
It started when I was playing Overwatch then for some reason the screen completely froze. I wait for around a minute and then when I held down the power button to turn it off, a second before it turned off it showed blue screen saying error occured. Since that time my Pc have been running diagnostic, scanning,repairing but it always ended up in some extremely long black screen thats lasts hours so I turn it off. Then the next day when I turn on my pc it says "No bootable device" and under it "Strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility." I tried clicking F1 and it doesn't work, I get lead back to the same screen. I read somewhere to try doing ALT+TAB with E,F,B with Num Lock, Cap Lock, and Scroll Lock on but I just get a black screen.
My PC is Alienware x51 R2. I've had it for around 4 years now and all the specs of the PC is default. I am running Windows 10.

I need to plug in all USB PCIe cards to all PCIe slots in Dell T7910.
All USB cards were plugged into PCIe slot in CPU1 work fine.
Just two USB cards were plugged into PCIe slot in CPU2 cannot recognize. Please note that I tried to move VGA card to PCIe slot in CPU2 and it worked fine, except USB card did not work.
Could you please give me some suggestions?

My client called to say that he could not turn his computer on.
I determined that the power switch (the ON button on the top cover) was faulty.
To fix this you need to replace the entire top cover, Dell part number H310J, a part which is still available on the web. You will need the remove the front to remove the top cover. Disconnecting and reconnecting the power switch is the hardest part. Don't forget to remove the part from the old one that is the connections to the audio and USB ports and install it on the new one before you struggle with reconnecting the power switch. A power switch is just a hardware part, but they only last so long. If your Studio XPS will not turn on, this could be the problem, and it is fixable.
I have a project to upgrade a Dell Dimension 3000 motherboard, ram and hard drive. I got the hard drive, I'm pretty sure the max ram is 4GB. Though I'm not sure how far the motherboard can be upgraded.
And yes I know I can buy a new desktop for cheaper but I want a project...

I have an XPS 8920 that I added a second hard drive to no problem. I want to add a third drive which is a solid state drive, and there are 3 bays for hard drives, but I don't see a third data cable. Do I need to get a cable that will piggy back off the other ones?
My Inspiron 3650 (literally ordered it a year ago yesterday) randomly stop booting up. When I hold the button on the power supply in the rear, the small green LED will illuminate and the fans spin. When I release the small button on the power suply, the light goes out and the fans stop spinning. When I push the power button on the front of the machine, nothing happens.

I have an Optiplex 755 that will not update to the latest windows update. After about 24 attempts at installing the updates for the 755, I am about to start biting folks. Is there a common problem that people are having with the newest update that I am failing to see? I have already been through Windows support three times and they don't seem to be able to say why it won't update. Any thoughts??

My recently acquired Precision Workstation T3620 is equipped with an Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260.
I've recently installed Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB Eval but Windows device manager doesn't show any Bluetooth hardware.
There is no Bluetooth section in Settings - Devices either.
Any idea?
PS. Yes, all Windows updates as well as Dell drivers are installed on the system.
WLAN works as expected - no issues here.
I ordered my 3620 Tower with no optical drives and one 3.5 HD. I have two additional 3.5 HD that I need to install. I have one of the 3.5 HD in the empty HD bay along side the existing HD. The article below describes how to install four 2.5 HD, but it's not clear how to install my third 3.5 HD. Any help is appreciated.
