ive got 2-780s and can i get either to work,have treid everything,every combination-ahci,sata,legacy,with nic(pxe)enabled....nothing,nothingggggg works

Upgrading Graphics Card
Firstly, if I should be taking this up with a potential seller (i.e. Best Buy) rather than HP themselves, please let me know. I'm still a bit new to purchasing and upgrading computers.
I am interested in purchasing an Inspiron Small Desktop, but would like to upgrade the graphics card. The one I had in mind is a MSI - AMD Radeon R9 380 4GB graphics card. Would this be possible, both physical size of desktop computer/graphics card and power wise? Would this void the computer warranty if I was to do so?

moving optiplex 9020 motherboard to new case.. can i do it ?
i have a optiplex 9020 mt.. but i was wondering if i can move the motherboard to a new case to Achieve more cooling to my system and upgrading my gpu.. because the case is small..

Dell 3847 Motherboard upgrade
Hey guys, so I have what is probably an unorthodox situation going on. I had a Dell 3847 originally, but in order to install my new GPU (GTX 950), I had to buy a bigger case and PSU to put it all into. I have that system up and running, but for more expansions, I would like to upgrade my motherboard. How would I go about doing this. I'm sure it's possible somehow, but before I completed what I have now, I was told that the OS wouldn't be compatible in some way. I was also wondering how Chipset came into play with this. Thanks.

XPS8700 drive failure now msata SSD not present?
I had a disk drive go bad on my XPS8700. I ordered the USB drive to recover the system and in the process of debugging it and all I removed the msata SSD. I installed the backup onto the new replacment drive and only after installing everything I put in the msata SSD (32GB Liteon version).
Now I can not detect the Liteon SSD with the intel utility nor can I change it into a drive of any sort. I can see the msata drive only when I go into BIOS with the F2 key on startup. Look I can possibly live with the system like this but I'm not getting any benefit for having a SSD cache. At this point I'm considering installing a 128 or larger GB SSD in place of the small cache drive and use that for the "C" boot drive.
How can I recognize the mSATA drive? Disk management does not list it. The device manager also does not list it in the drives available. I'm afraid to get the bigger SSD as the system may not recognize that one either. I want to at least recognize the SSD then possibly upgrade it.
BTW - My Bios is setup as non RAID. Not sure how that occured but I hear switching back after the install is an open invitation for BSD! HELP!

Optiplex 9020 Cannot boot MDT Litetouch WIM 64bit UEFI
Hi guys,
I´m puzzled by this, no matter how I set this up I cannot get the Litetouch WIM (64 bit) to boot UEFI.
It boots fine as Legacy as UEFI, it doesn´t come up as an option.
It does work with Lenovo, the image isn´t even a custom image.
No idea what I am missing.

Precision 690, where is the cpu fan connector on the motherboard??
I disconnected the cpu fan from my motherboard and cannot find where to plug it back in?
Sounds silly but I have literally scoured every inch of the motherboard and can find no suitable connector.
There is a four pin that it can plug into but that is labeled Aux Led, and the fan does not engage when plugged into that...

How to change parallel port mode in bios of Dell Inspiron 546s
I installed a Roswill RC-302 Parallel port PCI card into my Dell Inspiron 546s. I'm using it to connect to a cnc plama cutter table. My cnc manual says that I need to enter the bios and change the mode of the card to EPP 1.9. However when I go into the bios I don't see any settings in any of the menu options related to the parallel port. I installed the card and downloaded the driver. When I go to the device manager it shows up and seems to be enabled fine. Right now it is labeled as LPT1. However, the addresses in the resource tab show up as E800 and E400. That doesn't seem to match any normal hexadecimal addresses? My cnc machine manual said that it is best to set the card to the address of 278...how would I do that? Is this simply changing it to LPT2? I have Windows 7 home office pro.

Precision T7400 Multiprocessor_configuration_not_supported Windows 7 SP1
Hello
New to this forum, so welcome everybody.
I just bought a s/h T7400 (24GB memory, Bios ver A11) with multiprocessor and preinstalled Win7 32 bit. It is working fine as it is, but I want to upgrade to Windows 64 bit.
Installation from the original Windows 7 64 bit disk ends with a blue screen and "Multiprocessor_configuration_not_supported" message.
What's the catch?

Inspiron 660 "locked up" loading Windows 10 (error code Oxc000000f) from Windows 7
We inadvertently stopped our unsolicited Windows 10 upgrade of Windows 7 which caused the computer to show a Windows Error Recovery page with choice of "launch startup repair" or "start normally".
Either option got us to a Windows Boot Manager page that stated to insert WIndows installation disk (which came with our Dell computer) and restart computer. The disk does not run and gives a
status: 0xc000000f
info: boot selection failed because required device inaccessible
How do we get past these messages to reload Windows 7 ?? (and don't want Windows 10)

i have had the above listed computer, which I keep in my basement, for over 7 years now. I like the size and strength of the case for very much and would like to have it around for a lot longer. I am looking for suggestions on a more recent motherboard which without difficulty can fit in this case. I would be willing to get the upgraded processor, memory and power supply as necessary

Can I cancel a downgrade from Windows 10 to windows 8?
Hi, recently I've been having a lot of trouble coming from my computer. Every game I tried to play would crash, chrome would crash, just I really hated Windows 10. I got really sick of it so I decided I would downgrade back to windows 8. So in the process, I came to realize that I could not do this without an actual Windows 8 installation disc or usb. So now my computer is stuck on the blue screen of death with the error code 0x000025 meaning I'm missing the disc. I can't find my installation disc for Windows 8 anywhere and its quite expensive for a new one. Is there any possible way I can revert the downgrade? I currently cannot access anything on the computer it's just stuck. I just really need my computer working for school, if anyone can help I'd appreciate it greatly.

Do all Precision T7810 workstations support Intel E5-26xx v4 processors?
I have an year old Dell Precision T7810 workstation with an E5-2630 v3 processor. Dell has recently started selling T7810s with the newer v4 processors. How can I be sure that my workstation would work with a v4 processor? Does it require a certain Bios version? Are there other prerequisites for v4 processor support?

XPS-8300 - how to get Windows 10 to recognize 32GB of RAM?
I have an XPS-8300. I've installed 32GB of RAM. However, Windows 10 is only recognizing 19 of it (yes, 19GB - an odd number to recognize):
INSTALLED MEMORY: 32GB (19.0GB Usable)
Is there a way to get the XPS-8300 to use all 32GB of memory? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Inspiron 2330 AIO display pink and wavy from boot.
I have a Dell 2330 that I have hed ongoing issues with. I bought in 2014 and about 2 months from warrantee end, the display began to have multicolored horizontal lines and would kind of phase out. It would respond to touch for a second but then begin to get more "out of sync" then flash and begin again.
I contacted Dell and they dispatched a tech to repair it. The part took almost three weeks to arrive and the tech another two. By the time he was done, it was at a clear picture again. A week later, I am out of warrantee, 2 weeks later it starts all over again. I contacted Dell and was told since I was out of warrantee and it was "fixed" before, I must now pay for service. Not happy with this reply, I shoved it into a corner and forgot about it.
I am not working to try to get it fixed as I would like to try and use it. I have replaced the LCD Inverter Converter Board (as the tech did) but this proved unsuccessful. This happens as soon as the power button is pushed.
I would really like to know and fix this. I have been a loyal Dell customer/supporter for over a decade and this is really a black eye in my opinion. I know I should have kept fighting, but 4 kids took precedence of my time. Any information would be helpful.
